This is the new bus station here in Lima Peru. It opened recently and you can see that it is big and has a modern look to it. The zone looks clean and inviting. It’s great that Lima has the resources to update its infrastructure. It really makes the city look better and it will bring in more tourists. You can this terminal on the shopping center side of “Plaza Norte”.

The is a clip from the BBC environmental documentary called “Meltdown”. Lima Peru was featured here as one of the ‘hot cities’. The main purpose of the documentary is to show that water security is going to be a major issue as the world deals with global warming. If the average global temperature continues to rise, then a lot of the world’s glaciers will disappear. This will lead to mass water shortages and floods. In this eposide, the film makes take a trip over to Peru- one of the driest areas of the entire world. Peru is losing water resources because of its melting glaciers in the high Andes. This documentary looks at the stiuation, and predicts what the country will have to deal with in the near future.
